My friend/cousin, Lola, and her humans told me that this week is International Assistance Dog Week (IADW). How cool is that?! I wanted to share some information with all of you.
IADW is held in August each year to honor all the hardworking assistance dogs, and raise awareness about these specially trained animals.
IADW was created to recognize of all the devoted, hardworking assistance dogs helping individuals mitigate their disability-related limitations
During IADW, we recognize and honor these dedicated assistance dogs, raise awareness and educate the public about how these specially trained animals are aiding so many people in our communities, honor the puppy raisers and trainers of assistance dogs, and recognize heroic deeds performed by assistance dogs in our communities.
This information was reposted from the IADW website and their Facebook page it is their content entirely. Please like their Facebook page if you have an account, or visit their website; both places have great information.
