Mom got a Collar

Hi Friends –

I wanted to share with all of you new and exciting things I’ve done since I posted last. Let’s see…Friday was just a work day for dad so that was a lot of interrupted naps and people stopping us to ask what breed of dog I am and tell us what a handsome boy I am;  I gotta tell ya, never gets old.

Today is Saturday, but I forgot and woke Dad and Mom up at 5:30 AM to take me out and feed me breakfast. That worked pretty well. Here’s the secret, ready? Pee on the carpet once and they will never take the chance that you’re waking up to play, and tell you to “go lay down.” Don’t tell them I said anything though, it’s just something to keep under your service vest. After that I played with my human puppies while Dad went back to sleep for awhile. I did go to work today but we kept it close to home. The family took me to one of their favorite breakfast spots called Country Kitchen.  If you’re in the area they are super nice with great bacon and sausages. Mom and Dad like other items too but the bacon is to fetch for! If you live near me drop in. After that we dropped off a bunch of stuff at Goodwill. I was happy to get rid of it because it took up too much space; I like to stretch out in the truck.

After that I went to a new place and we bought a pantry cabinet. I think they bought it for my kibble and treats. I mean they really shouldn’t keep the monsters’ food so close to mine, so I think this was a great idea. I even helped dad put it together. Why else would he have built it on the floor if he didn’t need my help? While Dad and I did that the human puppies cleaned their kennel and mom went to a choir run-through before she sings to us tomorrow. I can’t wait! After we finished building my food box I took the family out to celebrate mom’s birthday, it’s coming up soon, but the week is busy for humans. The puppies got mom a collar that goes on her wrist. I didn’t understand, so I asked dad; he called it a bracelet. Mom was very happy but we didn’t bark because we were out and I was in a “down-stay”, maybe later?

After that dad and I went for a walk. I met a new neighbor named Rachel, she is a chow-mix I think? We didn’t get to play or anything because she’s kinda a private girl and gets nervous around new dogs. I understand, we had a good first meeting non the less. Maybe we’ll bring her treats next time? What girl doesn’t like a treat every now and then?

Like I mentioned earlier, tomorrow is a big day. We go to the building where the humans go to talk to Great Spirit and Mom’s going to sing. I really like the people there. I’m not sure what else I will do tomorrow but I’m sure it will be fun. I’m going to take a nap so I will be ready for what ever my pack needs me for.

Casper, I love your blog! I believe you just had your 9 month birthday, the other day. I was “there” when you were born. I still remember that you “hung out” with Ivy and Oscar. Oscar is the only pup who looks like his mom; he’s so easy to remember! But, I love you, too Casper; you are such a good boy and I’m so happy for you that you have such a lovely family to live with and I know they spoil you, too! Please wish your mom a Happy Birthday on her special day. I LOL when you thought the puppies bought her a collar, but I guess a bracelet does look like a small collar, so I can see why you said that. I’m looking forward to receiving your posts on my email. Have fun listening to mom sing tomorrow; be a good boy. We’ll talk again soon….Love you! ❤
